DuPont Automotive Finishes ChromaSystem TM Technical Manual Description DuPont Performance Coatings A-4119S" Etch Primer was developed to repair small cut-throughs to bare metal incurred during vehicle pre-paint prep. A-4119S" is black in color and it can be applied direct to metal with a minimum of overspray. This primer has improved application and performance versus some similar products of this type.

General Information Components DuPont " A-4119S" Etch Primer Mix Ratio/Viscosity Ready to use . Application Substrate Direct to steel, galvanized steel and aluminum . Direct to pre-treated metals.

Refer to the ChromaSystem ® manual for the correct metal pre-treatment. Not recommended for plastic OEM finishes and plastic OEM replacement parts. Surface Preparation For substrates other than unprimed plastic or fiberglass, wipe surface using DuPont" Sontara ® wipe PS- 3909S", Sontara ® wipe PS-3970S", Sontara ® wipe PS-3990S" , First Klean ® 3900S", Prep-Sol ® 3919S" or Kwik Clean ® 3949S".

Shake the aerosol for 2 minutes after the mixing marble inside is heard and spray to test application. Apply 2 coats with a 5 minutes flash between coats to a maximum of 1 mil dry film thickness . Safety and Handling Before using any DuPont Refinish product, be sure to read all safety directions and warnings. WEAR A PROPERLY FITTED AIR PURIFYING RESPIRATOR with organic vapor cartridges (NIOSH approved TC- 23C) and particulate filter (NIOSH TC-84A), eye protection, gloves and protective clothing during application and until all vapors and spray mists are exhausted. In confined spaces, or in situations where continuous spray operations are typical, or if proper air purifying respirator fit is not possible, wear a positive-pressure, supplied air respirator (NIOSH TC-19).
