Wuxi Shengda, acquired by CMM in December 2008, is a Chinese shearer manufacturer that supplies longwall shearers for the fast growing Chinese mining industry. There were more than 100 government officials, along with senior management from Joy and CMM that attended the ceremony.

This new factory project began immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony and the completion is planned for the end of August 2009. The new facility will be located in the new industrial park of Wuxi City and when completed will cover an area of 105,000 square metres (1,130,000 square feet). Phase I of the project will cover an area of 17,000 square metres (183,000 square feet).

When the facility is completed it will have the full production capability to produce double the number of shearers that could be produced previously. Plans are ... more. less.
