2004.5 + Volvo S40 Cabin Air filter installation instructions

1. The filter is located under the dash board, on the driver 9s side. Push in on the gray plastic retainer to release, remove the kick panel to the right side of the accelerator.
Locate the 3 bolts securing the accelerator pedal, unbolt them and remove pedal. 2. Release the filter access door by unbolting the 2 bolts securing it.
Set door aside. 3. Remove old filter by sliding it towards the left.
Replace with new TYC filter, ensuring that Air Flow arrow is pointing to the car 9s cabin. 4. Reinstall in reverse order.
