Please do not sell it, or items made from it, for profit. 2 Size 4 circular needles 2 Size 3 circular needles (you could use straight needles and dpns if you prefer) Sport weight blue (I used Lion Brand Soft Baby 'Bluebell'), white and black yarn Beige and brown yarn for cookies Brown embroidery floss for chocolate chips Tapestry needle.

Stitches used: Other than knitting and purling, I use two types of increase stitches, the kfb and the kinc, and I used k2tog for decreases.. the round. There are no seams.<br><br> TIP: Pull the first st of each row tight to minimize gaps. Keep your tension fairly tight as the slip st creates a looser st tension. Beginning with the first leg and 1 circ (or two straight needles): LEG Cast on 10 st (I recommend the cable cast on) Row 1: Slip the first st, k1 sl1 across, k last st, turn.<br><br> Repeat row 1 till you have about 1.5'' of knitting 13 rows) You have just knit a tube! Second Leg: Break yarn, leaving a long tail. (16 st remain) NECK sl/k once more around for neck.<br><br> Pass alternating stitches onto two needles (1 for front stitches & 1 for back) starting with the front needle. Turn right side out (arms first). Stuff legs arms & torso.<br><br> HEAD rnd1: knit around, rnd 2. k1, inc 1, around. Rnd 3: k around.<br><br> Finish stuffing body & limbs, stuff head as you go. Rnd 4: *(k1, kinc) 2x, k across to last 2 st on current needle, (k1, kinc)) 2x * Repeat from *on 2nd needle. rnds 5-10 (or 12): k (prox 6 to 8 rows) Rnd 11: * k2tog, k to last 2 st on current needle, k2tog* Repeat from *on 2nd needle.<br><br> Rnd 12: k Rnds 13 & 14: repeat rnds 11 & 12 Continue repeating rnds 11 & 12 till 6 St left on each needle. Finish stuffing head. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail, and kirchener st the stitches on front and back needles together.<br><br> EYES With white yarn, cast on 6 st on 2 size 3 circs. Rnd 1: Kfb each st around (12 st) Rnd 2 and all even rows: k around Rnd 3: kinc k1 around (18 st) Rnd 5-8: k around 4 rows (18 st) Rnd 9: k1, k2tog around (12 st) Rnd 11: k2tog around (6 st) Finish stuffing. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing, and weave through remaining 6 st.<br><br> Pull yarn to close hole. PUPIL With black yarn, cast on 6 st on 2 size 3 circs., Rnd 1: cast off all st around. (this makes a small black circle) Sew to center of white eyeball.<br><br> Alternate methods: you could crochet a small circle and sew it on, or embroider a circle directly onto the eyeball if you prefer. Make second eye the same. MOUTH: With black yarn & sz 3 needles C/o 12 st Row 1: k Row 2: p2tog, p to last 2 st p2tog Row 3: k2tog, k to last 2 st,k2tog Row 4: p Row 5: rpt row 3 Row 6: p Cast off, cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing.<br><br> Sew mouth in place after sewing the eyes on. COOKIES: Chocolate fudge cookie: With brown yarn, cast on 6 st on 2 size 3 circs. Step 1: Kfb each st around (12 st) Step 2: k around till cookie is the size desired Step 4: kirchener st two sides of top together.<br><br> Push in a part and secure to be the 'bite' out of the cookie. Sew to Cookie Monster's hand. Chocolate chip cookie: With beige yarn, cast on 6 st on 2 size 3 circs.<br><br> Step 1: Kfb each st around (12 st) Step 2: k around till cookie is nearly the size desired (prox 4 rnds) Stuff lightly Step 3: k2tog around Step 4: k around Cut yarn, weave yarn through 6 remaining st and pull to close. Embroider choc chips with brown yarn or embroidery floss. Sew to Cookie Monster's other hand.<br><br> ASSEMBLY: With blue yarn tails, close any gaps or holes (between the legs, under the arms, at the neck or anywhere else gaps have occurred). I use duplicate stitch, as it looks like knit stitches. With white yarn tails, sew eyes to top of head (using photos as reference).<br><br> Sew mouth in a smile. Embroider crumbs with cookie yarn under mouth. Sew cookie(s) to hand(s).<br><br> Cookie is born! :o)
