Lynn Street, 10 th Floor Arlington, VA 22209 - 2020 USPSOIG VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT #08 - 06 Auditor 3 Field Financial West Directorate The United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking a highly qualified applicant to fill our Auditor (Journey Band) position on the Field Financial West Directorate located in Irvine, CA. The directorate conducts audits in support of the Board of Governor 9s independent public accountant 9s overall opinion of Postal Service financial statements.
The field financial audits assess the integrity and reliability of the financial information in these statements. The OIG mission is to provide reports to the Postal Service Executives, Governors and Congress to help the Postal Service maximize revenues (approximately $70 billion a year), minimize costs, and prevent and detect fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS " Bachelor 9s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting or in a business related field that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting; or a combination of education and e xperience at least 4 years of experience in auditing/accounting to include one of the following: 24 semester hours ... more.
