set of weights 1 small mat ** All equipment is placed in the center of rectangular game board in their own designated area Game set up: Poly Spots (or carpet squares) are set up in the gym in a large rectangular shape to create the cgame board d.<br><br> Exercise cards, chance/community chest cards, and free parking card(s) are placed underneath the spots. To begin the game: Teacher is in the center of the game board to monitor dice roll, Chance/Community Chest draw cards, and bank. Each student stands on a poly spot.<br><br> Add at least 4-8 more spots than students playing the game. Teacher chooses two students to roll one dice each. Class adds up the dice roll and moves in a clockwise or counter-clock wise direction the number that is rolled.<br><br> The students check under their new poly spot and place their card on top of the spot (do not travel with the card). Music is the signal to designate the 30-40 second time to exercise, walk to the center to draw a Chance/Community Chest card, etc. When the music stops 4all students return equipment to the correct area and then return to their spot to replace exercise card under the spot and wait for the next two rollers to roll the die.<br><br> Frederickopoly/Raabopoly/Gawelopoly/Brummeopoly K-2 grades---Still keep exercise cards under each spot. Just ask one student to roll the dice to advance everyone. The student that rolled looks under their spot and the whole class does the same exercise that was under the dice rollers spot.<br><br> If a Chance/Community Chest card is uncovered, the teacher chooses the exercise or rolls again or let the roller choose an exercise. Another option : 1 st and 2 nd grade have also chosen a partner to work with and they share a spot, help each other exercise, and use their cooperation/communication skills.
