FOR RELEASE: August 24, 2007 HCC S TUDENT K RISTEN W ADE R ECEIVES C OCA -C OLA S CHOLARSHIP Harford Community College student Kristen Wade has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. To qualify for the scholarship, Kristen had to demonstrate academic success and perform community service within the past 12 months. HCC President James LaCalle presented Kristen with a Certificate of Recognition at the August Board of Trustees meeting.
Through the Coca-Cola Two-Year Colleges Scholarship Program, the Foundation awards a total of 400 scholarships annually to students attending higher education institutions granting two-year degrees. cThe Coca-Cola Two-Year Colleges Scholarship Program gives support and encouragement to an underserved population of college students, d said J. Mark Davis, President of the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
