Sandi's Breads, a specialty bakery, opened in 2005. With guidance from KU SBDC consultant Martin Brill, Sandi and Tom began to sell their baked goods in several area farmers 9 markets and restaurants.
Sandi began baking about eight years ago with no intentions of starting a small business. After some success with selling products to friends and neighbors, the Smith's invested in more baking equipment and began selling at a farmers 9 market in Tom's hometown of Palmyra. About two years later, the Smiths made the decision to officially start their business.
