Continuing Issues in Franchise Disclosure: Curr ent Thinking and Best Practices Seven years after the passage of the Arthur Wishart Act (Franchise Disclosure), 2000 , franchise practitioners continue to be faced with the when, how and what to disclose. Imprecise drafting in the legislation has led to a number of unresolved disclosure issues, many of which affect the advice given by counsel to its franchisor clients and continue to present a risk to franchisors in their efforts to follow the Act 9s disclosure requirements.
