British mechanic finds car 9s problem an easy nut to crack British driver Clifford Bird had a nagging car problem that was driving him absolutely nuts, says the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press. Bird, who lives in the town of Diss, drives a silver MG he likes to keep in tip-top shape.

After the car experienced problems with soggy acceleration, the 75-year old owner took the vehicle to a local garage, expecting to receive a bill of $818 for replacing the vehicle 9s catalytic converter.
