Monitors overall progress following the visits via spreadsheet program.<br><br> Reviews computer data and report systems and investigates methods for improving input and output. Develops comprehensive reports related to drivers 9 and customers 9 loss experience for underwriting and the customers. Develops loss prevention/cost containment tools (newsletters, posters, etc.) to increase safety awareness, assisting customers in preventing/containing losses.<br><br> Works closely with the Safety Departments of UniGroup Corporation along with Vanliner Claims, Marketing and Underwriting. Job Code: 1359 Loss Prevention Consultant Revised: 07/07 Page Two Additional Duties : Performs a variety of other duties as assigned. Required Minimum Qualifications : Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Safety Management, or related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience.<br><br> Three or more years of business experience. Highly effective analytical, decision-making, and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to investigate complex business problems, develop effective recommendations, negotiate and/or present solutions, and resolve problems in a highly professional and tactful manner.<br><br> Highly organized and able to set priorities effectively. Ability to access, enter, modify, and retrieve data on a PC. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language and compose correspondence (such as pre and post-visit letters, training materials, and internal reports).<br><br> Visual acuity sufficient to accurately review and proof information. Auditory ability to use a telephone. Willing and able to travel at least 28 percent of the time to out of town locations and use public transportation vehicles (automobiles, buses, airplanes, etc.) Have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.<br><br> Travel may be required on short notice and may involve travel time extending over the weekend.
