The Human Capital Directorate conducts performance audits and reviews of Postal Service human capital operations, including employee development, equal employment opportunity (EEO) programs, health care/workers 9 compensation issues, human resources, safety issues, and labor -management relations within the Postal Service.
Specialized experience in these areas is highly desirable. The candidate should also be highly motivated and have demonstrated experience in planning, conducting, and reporting audits or evaluations. The OIG mission is to provide reports to Postal Service Executives and Governors, and the Congress that help the Postal Service maximize revenue (approximately 70 billion a year), minimize costs, and prevent and detect fraud, waste, abuse and mismanagement.
