STEP II: Determine if your Solutions Roof Rack needs to be trimmed. The overall length of your Solutions Roof Rack is 62" Measure the distance between the furthest existing mounting holes, on the vehicle's rooftop. If the distance is 62" or less, place your Solutions Roof Rack over the existing mounting holes, to ensure the mounting feet will cover all existing holes. If trimming is required proceed to STEP III. If trimming is not required proceed to STEP V. STEP III: To determine the length needed for your Solutions Roof Rack, measure past the furthest existing mounting holes, located in the vehicles roof top. This will give you the length you require. To determine the amount to trim, subtract this length from the overall length of your solutions Roof Rack. (i.e., Your Solutions Roof Rack is 62" and the length you require is 58", the amount to trim is 4".) We recommend making the first cut in the center of the side and then trimming an equal amount from each piece. We recommend using a heavy-duty hack saw and blade and a straight edge to ensure a square cut. Proceed to STEP IV. STEP IV: Join the two side bar pieces together using one (l) splice insert and two (2) #8x1/2" screws. We recommend pre-drilling mounting holes using a 3/8" drill bit. Screws should be mounted inside the track on top of the side bar. Repeat process on second side bar member and proceed to STEP V. IMPORTANT: It may be necessary to use touch-up paint or a paint stick if cut is not square. STEP V: Mount the side bar by placing rack in position and marking location. Mark the location using a drill bit or hole-punch, then pre-drill mounting holes using a 3/8" drill bit. Place well nuts into mounting holes. If roof rack is to be used as a TV antenna, now is the time to attach coax cable. Attach cable to mounting bolt, before inserting into well nuts, and with two (2) flat washer and TV balun. Secure roof rack to vehicle roof using two (2) #6x3"and two (2) #6x2" bolts. DO NOT tighten bolts at this time. Repeat process on second side bar member and proceed to STEP VI. (If TV cable is located on second side bar member, use this procedure on side bar member.) STEP VI: With side bar members in position, measure the distance between the side bars, to determine if cross bars will need to be trimmed. If trimming is required proceed to STEP VII. If trimming is not required proceed to STEP VIII. STEP VII: Determine the amount to be trimmed by subtracting the distance between the sidebars and the overall length of your Solutions Cross Bars. The distance between the cross bars is 44" and the overall length of your Solutions Cross Bar is 48 1/4", the amount to trim is 4 1/4".) IMPORTANT: You must trim an equal amount from each end of the cross bar to ensure a proper fit and alignment. Mark the points on the cross bars and trim using a heavy duty hack saw and blade and a straight edge to ensure a square cut. Proceed to STEP VIII. STEP VIII: Secure cross bars to side bars using four (4) #8x1/2" screws. Tighten side bar mounting bolts snug, but do not over tighten. Complete installation by inserting rubber cover in place, trimming if necessary. However, we are human and occasionally make a mistake, you are human and occasionally order the wrong item, and freight carriers are human and occasionally damage something. In these instances, the following policies apply: Returned Goods Authorization 3 In all cases, an RGA number is required and is available from a V-Sales Customer Service Representative. Inspection 3 It is your responsibility to check each shipment at time of arrival for accuracy and damage. Any discrepancy should be reported to a V-Sales Customer Service Representative right away. 1. If we have shipped you the wrong item, we will, at our expense, ship you the proper item and arrange to have the wrong one picked up. We do ask that you repackage the item in a manner that will allow it to be received back in a saleable condition. 2. If you have ordered the wrong item we will determine if the item is a standard item or special order. Standard items can be returned for convenience of the customer but are subject to a 20% restocking charge on the item cost with no allowance for freight and must have been purchased within the last 30 days. Special order items may not be returned. We recommend that you receive a significant deposit when ordering these. 3. Damaged Goods 3 Since damage claim procedures vary from one carrier to another, it is imperative that you contact a V-Sales Customer Service Representative right away so we can take the proper steps to replace the damaged item and have the damaged one picked up. Billing 3 All replacement shipments will be invoiced as an original shipment. Credit for returned merchandise, for any reason, is subject to our standing credit and refund policy. Credit and Refund Policy 3 All credit for returned merchandise is subject to our inspection upon its arrival at the V-Sales warehouse. All merchandise must be received in a saleable condition for credit to be issued. Upon inspection approval a credit memo will be issued to be applied to a future purchase. For C.O.D. customers our refund policy is as follows: 1. For V-Sales error or damage shipment, 30 days after the issue date of an unused credit memo a refund check will be issued and the credit memo cancelled. 2. For customer convenience returns, 60 days after the issue date of an unused credit memo a refund check will be issued and the credit memo cancelled. Minimum Invoice 3 Due to invoicing costs, we require a $15 minimum invoice. Returned Checks 3 Any returned check is subject to a $25 charge for each time it is returned and that customer's terms with V-Sales are subject to immediate review.
