Motion carried. STATE OF OHIO COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM: 09-014 WHEREAS, Ohio 9s Cooperative Purchasing Act.<br><br> (AM. Sub. H.B.<br><br> No. 100), as signed into law on December, 1985; and WHEREAS, effective March 6, 1986, Ohio 9s Cooperative Purchasing Act provides the opportunity for counties, townships, municipal corporations, regional transit authorities, regional airport authorities or port authorities and school districts, conservancy districts, township park districts and park districts and other authorities, to participate in contracts distributed by the state of Ohio, Department of Administrative Services, Office of cooperative Purchasing for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain materials; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE EAST CLINTON LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Section 1. That the Superintendent hereby requests authority in the name of the East Clinton Local School District to participate in state contracts which the Department of Administrative Services, Office of State Purchasing has entered into and the Office of Cooperative Purchasing has distributed for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and certain other materials pursuant to Revised Code Section 125.04.<br><br> Section 2. That the Superintendent is hereby authorized to agree in the name of the East Clinton Local School District to be bound by all contract terms and conditions as the Department of Administrative Services, Office of Cooperative Purchasing prescribes. Such terms and conditions may include a reasonable annual membership fee to cover the administrative costs which the Department of Administrative Services incurs as a result of East Clinton Local School District participation in the contract.<br><br> Further, that the Superintendent does hereby agree to be bound by all such terms and conditions and to not cause or assist in any way the misuse of such contracts or make contract disclosures to non-members of the Coop for the purpose of avoiding the requirements established by ORC 125.04. Section 3. That the Superintendent is hereby authorized to agree in the name of the East Clinton Local School District to directly pay the vendor, under each such state contract in which it participates for items it receives pursuant to the contract and the Superintendent does hereby agree to directly pay the vendor.<br><br> Garen moved and there was no second. Motion carried.<br><br> Ohio School Facility Commissions Offer: 09-022 The superintendent recommends that the East Clinton Local Board of Education not participate in the Ohio School Facility Commission 9s offer CFAP funding related to the current funding cycle and July 2008 commission approval. RESOLUTION TO SUSPEND ADMINISTRATIVE CONTRACT: 09-023 WHEREAS, Section 3319.171 of the Revised Code permits the Board to adopt an administrative personnel suspension policy governing the suspension of administrative contracts; and WHEREAS, in accordance with section 3319.171 of the Revised Code, the Board adopted an administrative personnel suspension policy, specifically Board Policy GCPA-2 titled cReduction in Certified Staff Work Force (Administrators Both Certified and Non-certified d (hereafter cBoard Policy d), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Board Policy, the Board has determined that a reduction in force in the administrative staff is necessary as a result of financial reasons; and WHEREAS, the Board has complied with all applicable requirements of the Reduction in Force provisions of Board Policy and section 3319.171 of the Ohio Revised Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the East Clinton Local School District Board of Education as follows: SECTION I The position of High School Assistant Principal is hereby abolished.<br><br> SECTION II In accordance with Board Policy, the following administrative contracts shall be suspended indefinitely effective August 1, 2008: Jason Whitaker 3 Assistant High School Principal SECTION III The Superintendent shall provide notice to the affected employee of the suspension of his administrative contract as soon as possible. SECTION IV IT IS FOUND AND DETERMINED that all formal action of this Board concerning or related to the adoption of this Resolution was adopted in an open meeting of this Board, and all deliberations of this Board and any of its committees that resulted in such formal actions were adopted in meetings open to th e public, in compliance with all applicable requirements of the Ohio Revised Code.
