Bulletin CQB 01-09 1999 Buick Park Ave, Olds Aurora 2000 Buick LeSabre Subject: Low brake pedal, brakes may not release. Vehicle Involved: 1999 Buick Park Avenue, Oldsmobile Aurora, 2000 Buick LeSabre Condition: Easy to overlook when diagnosing a low brake pedal. The attachment nuts that secure the brake booster to the pedal Assembly may be loose.
Customers may complain of a low brake pedal. If the attaching nuts continue to back off, the condition may result in total brake failure. Water and fume intrusion can also occur in the passenger compartment.
Repair Procedure: Mfg. Campaign Number 99038. Dealers will replace any nuts that are missing, and tighten all four of the nuts to the required torque specification.
