Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo Queen Program Information The Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo Queen program is in its second year. The Spokane Interstate Rodeo is providing a traveling tiara, chaps, saddle serape, and magnetic auto signs to the winner of this year 9s pageant. The Spokane Interstate Rodeo will also provide a sash and buckle for this year 9s Queen to keep.

Additional sponsorships are being sought to assist with travel expenses and other related expenses. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS : " Age 18 to 24 years of age " Single, never having been married " Willing and able to travel DUTIES: The duties of the 2010 Miss Spokane Interstate Rodeo will be as follows - " Promote the Spokane Interstate Rodeo at PRCA rodeos throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana " Serve as the ambassador of the Spokane Interstate Rodeo " Participate in parades and make public appearances at specified regional events " Promote the Spokane Interstate Rodeo 9s charity of choice 3 Tough Enough to Wear Pink 3 helping spread Breast Cancer awareness and information on prevention DATES OF THE PAGEANT : All events will be held at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center unless noted January 29, 2010 3 Time ... more. less.

to be determined / Radio Interview at KIX 96.1 January 29, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Concessions Garden Orientation, written test, fashion show rehearsal January 30, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.<br><br> in the Indoor Arena Horsemanship competition followed by Personal Interviews January 30, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. in the Concessions Garden Speeches, impromptu questions, and fashion show COMPETITION ATTIRE : " Photograph 3 Western attire including hat, photo submitted should be head and shoulders only. " Horsemanship 3 Western attire including a plain white western shirt (no embellishments), blue Wrangler jeans (low rise, 20X, and Cruel Girl jeans are not permitted), belt, western boots, and hat.<br><br> " Personal Interview and Rodeo Knowledge Test 3 Wrangler pants (or skirt) with shirt, vest, or jacket. " Speech and Modeling 3 An elegant western dress or skirt with blouse and/or jacket. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION : Each contestant will be required to submit a completed application along with a $30.00 entry fee and 8 d x 10 d color photo (head and shoulders only).<br><br> Each contestant will also be required to obtain and bring two items fo r the silent auction (minimum value $50 each). The written test will include questions demonstrating the contestant 9s PRCA knowledge. The speech topic will be provided to each contestant closer to the date of the competition.<br><br> The personal interview questions will deal with current world events, general horsemanship, and personality. The horsemanship competition will include a pattern, arena run, rail work and packing a flag. Contestants will be provided a horse and are not to bring their own.<br><br> The horsemanship competition will be weighted heavier than the other categories.
