Learning Objectives: To focus on the key skills in Drama of strategies, mediums and elements. To develop performance work from a stimulus. Progression Homework/Learning Challenge : Students will write up and analyse their experience HW/LC Due : Starting point Presenting photos & stories Finishing point Drama performance which interprets stories and photos through performance using mediums, elements and strategies Differentiation: Support and Extension (G&T) Support: 2 students Extension: encourage those on G & T to lead & develop their characterisation at an more advanced stage.

notes. Followed by class discussion 10mi n Divide students into groups and present each group with story from child soldier. Students to create a still image to capture the essence of the account. Students will incorporate mediums & elements to their work using the strategy of still image. Students present their work and discuss. LINKS WITH OTHER SUBJECTS Music PHSE Citizenship English Speaking and Listening Humanities 15mi n Students to take image stage further by adding thought tracks for each of the characters & role play. Finally students to present the image, thought track and narration. Using elements & mediums and strategies of still image and thought track. Discussion and feedback 10 Flashback to a moment of happier times. Using elements and mediums & strategies of thought track, still image, narration and flashback. Discussion/feedback and evaluation. Assessment Opportunities: GCSE response NC LEVEL LEARNING OUTCOMES ALL: Will understand mediums elements and strategies and be capable of using them in their work MOST: Will have assigned a basic role with effective interpretation of the character and situation SOME: Will direct and lead the performance in addition to performing Evaluation / How did the lesson go? The pace was quite slow today not sure if students were influenced perhaps by presence of camera. Was pleased with the Learning outcomes. Nearly all students had achieved everything.
