NEWS RELEASE September 18, 2007 Free Family Fun Makes Its Way To Santa Maria For The 24 th Annual Autumn Arts Grapes & Grains Festival The Recreation and Parks Department partners with the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce once again to bring the annual family-friendly street faire to Santa Maria. Admission to this one-day street faire is free and offers something for everyone. Wholesome family fun merges with grown-up activities that are sure to keep everyone entertained.
cThe Grapes & Grains Festival has something for the entire family to enjoy: Food, music, games, and, of course, art, d said Eduardo Marquez, Recreation Coordinator. This years 9 event will be held on Saturday, October 6 on the 600 block of South McClelland Street, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wine and beer tasting will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and local artists will exhibit their fine art, photography and crafts throughout the day. Free activities occupy the kids with a Chalk Art Exposé, arts and crafts projects, pony rides, carnival games and prizes.
