Spanish Dictionary for the Pulse" Smartpen 1 Spanish Dictionary for the Pulse" Smartpen About this Dictionary Application This Pulse" smartpen Spanish Dictionary application is based on the American Heritage® Spanish Dictionary: Spanish/English, Inglés/Español, Second Edition from Houghton Mifflin. This dictionary features American English and Latin American Spanish. It contains 70,000 entries with more than 120,000 meanings and provides audio for over 40,000 Spanish words, recorded by native Spanish speakers.

The dictionary includes current vocabulary for Internet, telecommunications, and computer technologies. I MPORTANT : This is not a translator or travel phrase application. It is a reference tool and intended for language students at the high school and college levels and language professionals.

Then, tap right to start the setup instructions.<br><br> N OTE : Be sure your smartpen is not muted to hear the instructions. 6. Spanish Dictionary for the Pulse" Smartpen 7 Using the Word Lookup Feature Using the Word Lookup Feature After launching the application from a hand-drawn button or the Nav Plus menus, you can look up words by writing them in your notebook. 1.<br><br> Write a word in your notebook. The smartpen screen will display the first dictionary translation of the word. N OTE : You must write in a horizontal direction.<br><br> The smartpen cannot interpret vertically-written text. 2. If audio is available for the translation, the smartpen shows a note symbol on the right side of the display.<br><br> To listen to the audio, tap right. Alternatively, tap the Audio button you created during setup. N OTE : If you are translating from English to Spanish, the audio will be the Spanish translation.<br><br> If you are translating from Spanish to English, then the audio is the word you looked up. 3. To see additional translations, tap down.<br><br> Spanish Dictionary for the Pulse" Smartpen 8 Using the Word Lookup Feature 4. Tap up to reach the top of the dictionary entry. The display shows the word followed by the total number of translations.<br><br> 5. The definitions for each main entry are grouped by their part of speech. Headers for each part of speech are included within the list of translations, along with the number of translations that correspond to that part of speech.<br><br> For example, the word ctrain d can be a noun or a verb. The display shows there are ten instances of train as a noun. 6.<br><br> Continue to tap down through the noun translations to reach the Transitive verb summary. For train, there are ten instances of train as a transitive verb. Tap down to view these.<br><br> Continue with this process to view other parts of speech for the current word. To translate another word, tap left to return to the language selection screen, or tap the English->Spanish button.<br><br> 8. Tap down to view the first conjugation of the verb. 9.<br><br> To navigate to different tenses, tap right. 10. To navigate to different persons (first, second, and third person singular and plural), tap down.<br><br> 11. To conjugate another verb, tap up to return to the infinitive.
