During the weekend, David Maass will be signing cWildfowl of North America, d a beautiful art book featuring his paintings. David A. Maass 440th Year Featured Master Artist offering originals, giclees and books in person at the Masters Gallery at the Academy Art Museum Twice winner of the famed Federal Duck Stamp Contest, he has also designed more than 30 conservation stamps and prints for various state organizations.
A keen sportsman and enthusiastic contributor to conservation organizations, Maass has been painting waterfowl and game birds for five decades. He has been named Artist of the Year by numerous organizations and Artist of the Year by Ducks Unlimited. Maass is a master of design, a sensitive observer of the natural world and North America 9s premier waterfowl painter.
His originals have been exhib- ited in galleries and shows throughout the country including the Smithsonian Institution 9s National Collection of Fine Art, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
