Defense procurement contracts in Hawaii totaled nearly $2.0 billion, an increase of 16.2% over FY 2004 . Fiscal Year 20 0 6 Appropriations for FY 2006 defense projects totaled $ 767 million. This includes a military construction program of $354 million, and $413 million for defense-related projects. Fiscal Year 20 0 7 Appropriations for FY 2007 defense projects total nearly $622 million. This includes a military construction program of $208 million, and $372 million for defense-related projects and three other defense-related programs. Housing Initiatives Ongoing programs to privatize construction, renovation and operation of military housing will total an estimated $3.0 billion over the next 10 years.
