CCB Kids Clubs -- Vision Statement We remain devoted to using the richness of God's Word for discipleship, the effective training of children in Godly character, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to know Jesus and experience his endless love!

Our desire is that out of a heart of thanksgiving, the children would express their love for our Savior through a lifetime of devotion to their Lord, and ministry to others, through the power of the Holy Spirit. 11 2 & find the hidden words! 3 10 Mark 10:13-16 13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. 16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Matthew 19:13-30 13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disci- ples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. 15 And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.

16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is , God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

18 He saith unto him, Which? The first shall be last and the last shall be first.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. 7 6 The Little Children and Jesus I am sure we have all heard the song, cJesus Loves the Little Children. d Do you really believe that?

In Mat- thew 19:14, cJesus said. 8Let the Little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. 9 d If we do not receive the King- dom of God as children, we will never enter it (Mark 10:15). What does this scripture mean?

It means we need to love as a child loves and we need to forgive as a child forgives. Children do not hold grudges, they love uncondi- tionally. If we want to enter the Kingdom of God, we must have child-like faith.

The Rich Young Man In this story a young man came to Jesus and asked him what good things he could do to have eternal life. Je- sus told the man to keep the commandments. The young man told Jesus that he had kept the commandments and wanted to know there was anything else he needed to do.

cJesus answered, 9If you want to be perfect, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasures in heaven. Then come and follow me 9 d (Matthew 19:21). The young man went away sad be- cause he had great possessions and Jesus 9s words had touched and challenged him at the core of his problems.

Sometimes in our lives we are not willing to give up certain things. It could be watching movies, listening to music, or saying things that do not help us in our relation- ship to Jesus. However, sometimes there are things we have in our hearts that we are unaware of: jealousy, greed envy or hate.

There for we must ask Jesus to search our hearts and see if there is any wicked ways within us, and also rely on our parents and spiritual leaders for guidance. Oftentimes the more we have of something the harder it is to give up for the cause of Christ. If we hold on to things that we shouldn 9t this could hold us back from receiving from receiving all of the blessings that the Lord has for us.

The rich young man had kept all of the commandments, but his earthly possessions had caused him to love this world more than the Kingdom of God. Do not be like the rich man who was unwilling to give up everything for Jesus. When Jesus puts his finger on your heart, and asked you to give up something for him you can trust Him that it is in your best interests.

Be will- ing to give up everything for Him because He gave up everything for you! But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:32-33).
