No more than two unlicensed children may accompany any license holder. No one under the age o< 14 may take big game without having completed a Hunter Education Course.<br><br> No one under age 10 may hunt big game in Arizona. Residency may be re-established a<ter moving back to Arizona and meeting the required time period as de ned below. Residency Requirements A resident is a person who has been a bona de resident o< the state o< Arizona <or six months immediately preceding the date o< application <or a license or a tag, or a member o< the armed <orces who has been stationed in Arizona <or a period o< 30 days immediately preceding the date o< application <or a license or a tag.<br><br> Arizona residents may purchase a resident li- cense. All other individuals must purchase a non-resident license. Three-Day Non-Resident License A Class H, Three-Day Non-resident license, valid <or the taking o< small game, <ur-bearing ani- mals, predatory animals, nongame animals, nongame birds, upland game birds and mi- gratory game birds, except ducks, geese and swans is available at all license dealers.<br><br> This li- cense is not valid <or hunting big game nor is it valid when applying <or big game hunts through the draw process. Lost License or Tag Replacement Lost licenses, hunt permit-tags and nonpermit- tags may be replaced <or a <ee at any Arizona Game and Fish Department license dealer. Tag Trans0ers Under Arizona Revised Statutes and Arizona Game and Fish Commission Rules there are ways people can trans<er big game tags to children. A parent, grandparent or legal guardian may allow the parent 9s, grandparent 9s or guard- ian 9s minor child or minor grandchild to use the parent 9s, grandparent 9s or guardian 9s big game permit or tag to take big game pursuant to the <ollowing requirements: " The minor child is 10 to 17 years old on the date o< trans<er; " The minor child has a vaild hunting or com - bination license on the date o< trans<er; " A minor child less than 14 years old has satis - <actorily completed a department-approved hunter education course by the beginning date o< the hunt; " The parent or guardian must accompany the child in the eld or, i< a grandparent allows a minor grandchild to use the grandparent 9s permit or tag, the grandparent, parent or the child 9s guardian must accompany the child in the eld.<br><br> In either case, the adult must be within 50 yards o< the child when the animal is taken. Once a tag is trans<erred, the original permit- tee may no longer use it. All stamps and tags included in the Super Conservation Licenses are only valid during the appropriate seasons, and in conjunction with the appropriate hunt permit-tag issued through the draw process.<br><br> The North Kaibab Habitat Stamp is only valid i< you are drawn <or a Unit 12A deer hunt. 8 Arizona Game and Fish Department 4 www.azg-d.gov The Draw When the number o< hunt permits <or a species in a particular area must be limited to prevent over-harvest o< wildli<e, the Commission Or- der governing seasons <or that species assigns a hunt number to a designated area, and a hunt permit-tag is required to take that spe- cies in that area. Hunt permit-tags are issued through a computerized random drawing.<br><br> Big game tags not issued through the drawing pro- cess are nonpermit-tags. Nonpermit-tags may be purchased directly <rom Department o< c- es or through license dealers. Quali cations Individuals wishing to participate in a drawing or to purchase bonus points must apply in writing using the Hunt Permit-Tag Application Form.<br><br> Each applicant must possess a valid license <or the year in which the hunt will take place or possess a li<etime, pioneer or disabled veter- an 9s license. Non-resident Three-Day Class H licenses may not be used in applying <or big game hunt permit-tags. Youth applying 4or big game hunts must be licensed .<br><br> Applicants not licensed <or the year in which the hunt will take place must submit the in<ormation and <ees re- quired <or a license on each paper application submitted. Only one license will be issued to you and you will receive a re<und <or the other license <ees submitted. The license will not be mailed until re<unds and hunt permit-tags are mailed per the schedule on page 12.<br><br> Applying For A Hunt Paper applications <or hunt permit-tags must be made on Hunt Permit-Tag Application Forms available at Department o< ces, Web site, and license dealers. Please use the current year 9s ap- plication <orm, that is WHITE in color. Do not cut or alter application 4orm.<br><br> Applications not prepared in a legible manner may be deemed not valid and shall be rejected as speci ed in R12-4-104(O). Use standard blue or black ink (no gel ink). No more than <our people may apply in one envelope.<br><br> All applicants in a group must apply <or the same hunt number(s) and in the same order o< pre<erence on the same <orm. No person may submit more than one valid ap- plication per genus o< wildli<e in any calendar year, except as speci ed in R12-4-104(L), when genera are drawn in multiple drawings; howev- er the annual bag limit still applies. No more than one genus may be included on each Hunt Permit-Tag Application Form.<br><br> Use a separate <orm and envelope <or each genus o< wildli<e you wish to hunt. You can list a general hunt as your rst choice and another weapon type hunt <or the same genus as another choice on the same application 4just be sure they are in the same numerical series. Use only one application per genus, even i< you are mixing weapon choices.<br><br> Only a single application and the correct 4ees must be included in one (1) envelope. More than one (1) application in an envelope may result in rejection o4 all applications.
